Roanoke Office:

Mechanical Engineer: Successful candidate will have 1-3 years of previous experience in the planning & design of HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, government and educational projects. Successful candidate will also possess a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.  EIT certificate required, leading to registration as a professional engineer.  Entry level engineers may be considered who possess a strong academic background in thermal and fluid sciences.  

This position requires the engineer to perform all aspects of engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects.  This is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Meeting with clients to assist in determining the scope of work
  • Performing appropriate fieldwork to determine a design direction, including making educated decisions on system upgrades
  • Meeting with clients and other engineers to review and coordinate disciplines
  • Prepare bid plans using AutoCAD MEP 2010 and/or REVIT 2012 and specifications utilizing Microsoft Word.
  • Bidding phase services (attending and/or directing pre-bid and pre-construction meetings)
  • Seeing the construction of the project through completion and evaluating conformance with project construction documents.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
