Narrative
SFCS has designed projects for the United States Postal Service (USPS) throughout Virginia since the 1980s.  Projects have included new construction, renovations, and additions.  We have worked under consecutive Indefinite Quantity contracts since 1991.  Examples of architectural, engineering, and contract administration assignments over the past 8 years include the following projects:

Site adaptions of CADD-based standard plans (kit of parts) for a 16,200 SF facility in Wytheville and a 14,400 SF facility in Galax.

Site utilization plan for a new carrier annex and another for renovation and expansion of an existing building into a carrier annex in Roanoke.

Mechanical and electrical studies and upgrades for a facility in Norfolk.

Re-roofing , HVAC controls, and a parking lot design for the Lynchburg Processing and Distribution Center.

Concept design for a new Processing and Distribution Center annex; eletrical study, code review, dock renovation, and new mechanical systems in the administrative and dock areas at a Charlottesville facility.

Mechanical and electrical upgrades, structural engineering for the loading dock, East dock repair, and toilet renovations in the Richmond facility.

Acoustics study for the Dulles Processing Center dock area.

Landscape design at the Merrifield Postal Center.
