Vinson Hall Retirement Community, located just across the Potomac from the nation’s capital, is undergoing an expansion and renovation to meet the ever-changing needs of its residents. SFCS was commissioned to develop and implement a master plan to guide the growth of the campus. The master plan adds 75 new apartments with underground parking and a new community center. Renovations of the lobby, corridors, and building façade have been completed. Other amenity spaces are planned to be renovated after the completion of the new community center. The design will feature many sustainable features. It is the intent, at this time, to pursue LEED certification for the apartment and community building projects.
