Tug for Tots 2006
CHIP’s Tug for Tots was a big success again this year, raising $17,602! We, on the other hand, keep getting pitted against our clients, like Cox Comm and Allstate, so what's a firm to do? Team SFCS decided to "let" Allstate do the victory dance and chalked the sore muscles up to a worthy cause.

SFCS Announces Promotions and New Staff in 2006
SFCS has promoted and hired new staff in its Roanoke and Charlotte locations. They include:

Blain Cahill, PE, CIPE, has been promoted to Senior Associate and Director of Engineering.

Cline McGee, AIA, has been promoted to Associate.

Steve Laughlin has been hired as a Vice President and Project Manager. He was most recently with Laughlin Management Services in Roanoke.

Melissa Pritchard, Associate AIA, has been hired as Project Manager and Project Designer. She was formerly with Askew Nixon Ferguson Architects in Memphis, TN.

Mark Shelton, AIA, has been hired as Project Designer and Project Architect. He was formerly with HSMM in Roanoke.

Don Flick, AIA, LEED Accredited Professional, has joined the firm as a Project Architect. He was formerly with the FWA Group in Charlotte.

Robert Sikorski has joined the firm as Architectural Intern after graduating from Virginia Tech.

Winston Matthews has been hired as an Electrical Designer. He was formerly with M.C. Dean in Chantilly, VA.

Mark Fitzgerald has joined SFCS as an Architectural Technician. He was formerly with Advance Auto Parts.

Dennis Musick has joined the firm as Architectural Technician, coming from HDH Associates in Christiansburg.

Amber Reitzel joined the firm as an Architectural Technician after graduating from Central Piedmont Community College in North Carolina.

David Stultz has been hired as an Engineering Technician. He was formerly with Whitescarver Hurd & Obenchain in Roanoke, VA.

Kay Bailey has been hired as an Administrative Assistant, coming from Layne GeoConstruction in Ruther Glen, Virginia.

Erin Hurt has been hired as a Marketing Assistant. She was formerly with Long & Foster Realtors in Roanoke.

Loren Jamerson has been employed as an Administrative Assistant. She was formerly with 2HDesign in Charlotte.
