Let’s Design Together at the 2026 LeadingAge Annual Meeting
Every great design starts with a conversation… and a few building blocks.
Visit the SFCS Booth
Stop by the booth to connect with the SFCS team. We look forward to learning more about your community, discussing the opportunities and challenges you are navigating, and sharing how thoughtful architecture, engineering, and interior design can support your organization’s vision for the future. While you are there, join our hands-on booth activity and put your creativity to work by designing with LEGO bricks. Add your ideas to the experience and see what we can build when different perspectives come together. While you're here, be sure to enter our giveaway for a LEGO gift card and take a little of the joy of building and designing home with you after the conference.

Tiny Home, Massive Lifestyle: Selling Studio Apartments
Does your life plan community have small studio apartments that it’s struggling to fill because they can’t be expanded or combined with larger units? This session may offer some solutions. A chief marketing officer, an interior designer, and a senior living advisor will share how they successfully marketed and quickly filled five studio apartments that had been sitting empty or used for storage. Learn how they tapped into current trends, while providing functionality through an interiors face lift and using size-appropriate furnishings. You’ll see before-and-after photos showing how the community redesigned and marketed the studio apartments as part of its successful “Tiny Home, Massive Lifestyle” campaign.

Acquiring and Repositioning to Meet Consumer Expectations
What does it take to successfully acquire, reposition, and transform a senior living community in today’s competitive market? This session will explore how a multi-site organization repositioned a fifth campus to meet residents' evolving needs, promote holistic well-being, and ensure long-term sustainability. Presenters will share how they identified the acquisition opportunity, partnered with a financial services firm to craft the winning bid, and developed a phased master plan that balances innovation, resident appeal, and operational sustainability. They’ll explain why the organization declined to acquire the new campus’s skilled nursing component and how it intentionally designed other parts of the campus to support physical, social, and intellectual wellness.
