‘Essential’ caregivers lobby for greater access to loved ones in nursing homes
Many residents in senior living facilities have suffered acute loneliness over the last several months as visitation restrictions prevent family members from spending time with their loved ones. One Pennsylvania woman argues that what she calls "essential caregivers" or 'people who were actively involved in visiting family members in long-term care before the pandemic' should be allowed to visit with their family members in-person to combat the effects of isolation. Veterans Day in 2020
This #VeteransDay we express our gratitude to those who have served our country. Completed in 2017, the Rhode Island Veterans Home was designed to feel like home. It features concealed medical equipment and eliminates long double-loaded corridors, creating a residential atmosphere within a comfortable community environment.
