Creating a Culture of Innovation

BLUE RIDGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE BIOSCIENCE BUILDING

EXPANDING POSSIBILITIES

The Bioscience Building was planned to provide classroom and laboratory space to expand support of Bioscience fields and promote the establishment of new programs to meet industry needs in emerging fields. This supports BRCC’s goal to create educational programs, providing opportunity and support for the growing need for biology, nursing, and allied health professions in the workforce.

INVENTIVE AND COLLABORATIVE

The new Biosciences building is an extension of the existing science center on campus and will house Biology and Health Sciences/Nursing. Two primary goals were to create a central collaborative student zone and design the building as a showcase for Bioscience education.

INSPIRING ENGAGEMENT

The design creates spaces that provide opportunities for students and faculty to partake in spontaneous activities and interaction along the way.
