RESHAPING COMMUNITY

Covenant Woods redefined community to provide vibrant spaces and purposeful programs through building 22 new cottages and a lodge with 84 apartments (The Lodge) and amenities. New services and experiences have reshaped their physical environments to meet the changing needs of seniors.

DESIRABLE DESTINATIONS

The Lodge is an exciting social destination with multiple dining venues, community center, and a living room with fireplace. Abundant natural light streams in through the windows and doors, permitting views of the surrounding woods. Beyond the outdoor dining terrace, walking and nature trails, gardens, and gathering spaces provide opportunities for residents and visitors to lead a more vibrant life. The indoor wellness and fitness enhancements included a heated saltwater swimming pool, hot tub, lockers, and expanded exercise and equipment area. A salon and day spa, as well as a new library offer places for relaxation.

CREATING CONNECTION

The integration of architecture, interior and exterior spaces can have a major impact on the well-being and happiness of residents. The Design team understood the subtleties of this aspect for the Lodge and successfully integrated these details to help support health and wellness in Covenant Woods’ active environments. The elevated terrace runs along the west side of the building adjacent to the main dining room, lounge, and living Room. Each of these spaces open onto the terrace to promote social opportunities. Active recreation and walking trails overlook the stream valley.  Additionally, structured parking is provided below the common area.
