Building the relationship

It all started with

Kidwell ENGINEERING INC.

In 2012, Kidwell Engineering, Inc. started in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the years, they've provided services to a wide variety of healthcare, industrial and institutional projects, both traditional design/bid/build and design/build partnerships.  Their full lineup of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection services proved valuable to many prominent Kentucky based institutions, including Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America, United Parcel Services, Department of Homeland Security, and the State of Kentucky.

As SFCS was was anticipating its expansion in the mid-west, it wasn’t long before they partnered with Kidwell Engineering on a project.  During this initial team effort, they quickly realized how well both companies worked together, sharing many similar approaches to how they ran their businesses.

It was a match made in heaven.

Well... technically in Kentucky,
but that is pretty much the same thing.

Here are a few projects SFCS partnered with Kidwell Engineering

"We didn't just work together, we really connected. We shared the same focus on service.  Both sides would go above and beyond, we had the same work ethic."

- Steve Kidwell, Kidwell Engineering

Falling in Love... with louisville

The working relationship between Kidwell Engineering and SFCS wasn’t all that came together.  It was also Louisville itself.

There is a lot to love about this city.

Welcome to Bourbon City

The spirit of Kentucky thrives in the city of Louisville and in the glasses of its bourbon lovers. Ninety-five percent of the world’s bourbon is made in the Bluegrass State and the makers in Louisville have perfected the process.

Southern food at its finest

With delicious dining experiences at every corner, Louisville is just as much for food-lovers as it is for those who enjoy its libations. The southern city isn’t just the birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken, it’s the home of an impressive list of award-winning chefs and restaurants.

Where CHAMPIONS are made

Sports in the Derby City go beyond the famed horse races that run at Churchill Downs. Louisville is the home of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali and Louisville Slugger, where baseball’s most well-known bats are made. Louisville also has more than a dozen athletic teams at different levels competing on any given night.

  • Churchill Downs
  • Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory
  • Muhammad Ali Center
  • Cardinals, Wildcats, and More

Shaped by history, Inspired by the future

Modern art and scientific advancements are as much a part of Lousiville as the old stories that have shaped its past. More than a dozen museums and learning centers exist in and around the city’s boundaries, putting its appreciation for creativity, exploration, and history at the forefront of its existence.

Where slow greenspaces Meet busy sidewalks

Every good design has a balance between its elements: sharp and curved, masculine and feminine, bold and soft. In Louisville, that balance is found in the beautiful parks and greenspaces that are purposefully placed among the city’s structured steel buildings and asphalt blocks. The combination isn’t just aesthetically pleasing; it’s a rare opportunity to live life slowly within the boundaries of a busy city.

  • Louisville Waterfront Park
  • Cherokee Park
  • Iroquois Park
  • The Parklands of Floyds Fork

"It's not just a hub to the midwest... it's a hub of culture, food, and music. It's the kind of place you want to live.  A place you would love to call home."

- Tye Campbell, CEO SFCS
